Can I pass the transaction fee on to my customers? - ePayPolicy

ePayPolicy allows businesses to pass credit card and ACH transaction fees to customers through a compliant payment page that clearly displays fees and deducts them from payments before remittance, while also offering an option to absorb fees uniformly across all transactions upon request.

With ePayPolicy, you can pass along credit card and/or ACH fees to your customers using the payment page, which is compliant with regulations in all 50 states.

How does it work?

  • The ePayPolicy payment page automatically calculates transaction fees based on the payment amount and payment type. Payers will see the fees clearly displayed on the payment page.
  • When a payment is made, the payer is charged the transaction fees. ePayPolicy then remits the net payment amount, minus transaction fees, to you.

Tip:

If you prefer to absorb transaction fees instead of passing them on to your client, you can opt to cover credit card fees and/or ACH fees. This setting must apply consistently to all transactions and cannot be changed on a per-payer basis. To set up fee absorption, contact support at support@epaypolicy.com.
