Riskguard Insurance previously managed two separate digital payment solutions: one for ACH payments and another for credit card payments. Irene has always embraced technology, having moved her agency to the Cloud with Applied Systems’ Epic eight years ago. She prefers digital document storage and has minimized paper use in her office. Before switching to ePayPolicy, Riskguard used Vcheck for ACH payments and Xpress-Pay for credit card transactions. While Vcheck allowed clients to pay by phone, fax, or online, it still required Irene to handle checks manually—buying blank checks, printing them, and depositing them at the bank.
Seeking a more efficient solution, Irene discovered ePayPolicy at a Pacific Interstate Insurance Brokers (PIIB) panel. After seeing the product in action and speaking with other brokers, she decided to make the switch. Payments are validated and processed within a few days, eliminating the wait for checks to clear or arrive by mail. Irene values the security provided by ePayPolicy, noting that the system is PCI Level 1 compliant and that client account numbers remain confidential. Funds are deposited directly into the bank, reducing manual handling.
While some clients still prefer to pay by check, ePayPolicy has saved significant time and effort by removing the need to print and deposit checks manually.
Advice to Other Agencies
Irene encourages other agencies to consider the benefits of digital payments, questioning whether time is better spent on manual banking tasks or on customer service and business growth.
